Saturday’s trail day brought out a dozen motivated volunteers and resulted in two fully renovated trails.
The path down to Mikey’s Mussel Beach was raked clean of pine needles and brushed out, and the path through the talus now has some solid rock steps. The previously indistinct trail to the Upper Tier via Highway Robbery (and top-access to Hold Up Bluffs) has been dug in. Volunteers added steps and rerouted the trail for ease and flow. Trail builders made it all the way to the top of Bighorn Buttress! See the map in the image gallery to see where the new trail goes.
Thanks to all of our volunteers for their hard work and to REI for supplying shirts and snacks! Stay posted for the next trail day. In the meantime enjoy the easy(er) hiking to some of the best climbs at Stone.
