$2,000 will be awarded through the American Alpine Club’s Cornerstone Conservation Grant
The Stewards are on a roll! Last month the Northwest Montana Climbers’ Coalition received $2,000 to assist in the completion of the Stone Hill Trail Network Project. The money will be used to buy trail tools, building materials, signs and volunteer supplies over the next two years. The grant is funded by the AAC and REI and helps LCO’s around the country with sustainable climbing area improvements.
Much thanks to the partners that made this happen, including Matt, our local AAC Chapter chair, Marcy at Rexford Ranger District, as well as RMO and REI for their support of the project. We couldn’t have done it without them!
Check out our projects page for more information on the Stone Hill Trail Network Project. Volunteer opportunities will be available monthly (from Apr.-Sept.) while we have this funding. And if you haven’t checked out the perks of getting a membership with the AAC, we highly recommend checking it out!
