LOCAL CLIMBING AREAS

Stone Hill

Passing Eureka and heading West along Highway 37 for 17 miles brings climbers to the vast area of Stone Hill. Many great climbing areas exist on either side of the reservoir, but it’s collectively referred to as Stone Hill.

Leave No Trace principles should be followed at all times while climbing at Stone Hill.

A yearly falcon closure also affects certain crags, more info can be found on Mountain Project about the closures. Restrooms and information can be found along the main Hold-Up Bluffs Area and the South Stone Area.

A guidebook for Stonewall is available at Rocky Mountain Outfitter in Kalispell. Mountain Project also has information on the Stone Hill
